August has started drawing her favorite people and things. Anand told her to draw a banana and she drew a simple curved line. She'll point to things that she or someone else has drawn and label them. I drew the three of us and told her who they were since my drawing skills are still stuck in the 3rd grade. Then, when Anand came home, she pointed to my picture of Anand and called it "Mama". She pointed to the picture of me and called it "Dada". Then she pointed to the picture of herself and called it "August". Oh well. Anand said my picture of him had strange long hair. In my defense, I haven't used a magna-doodle in over 20 years. Anand told August to draw Dolly. When she finished 2 seconds later she pointed to it and proclaimed it, "Dolly!".
