The Artist

August loves to draw, stick pictures ripped out from magazines on paper, etc. While the drawings are often attractive, they don't obviously resemble things. Still, it's fun to ask her what she drew... she'll squint at the drawing and say "doggie!" or "sock" and then when we squint at it just so we see the same thing. And so it was when I was showing Connie August's latest creation. I asked August what it was. She looked at it, and as though it was obvious, announced "That's Art!"
