It's more fun playing tricks on kids...
... when they get it.
Connie and I were lying in bed trying to stay asleep when August decided that it was time to start the day. "Wake up Mama!" she started rubbing Connie's shoulder. (Usually this would be followed by kissing, snuggling, tickling, hitting, head butting...). Gallantly, I stepped in - "Hey Gusty, Mama's sleeping. Don't wake her up. Wake up Dada!".
She turned around to me, and shook my shoulder "Wake up Dad..." Then she realized she'd been had. She gave me a dirty look and tried to whack me, which in retrospect I suppose I deserved.
