Word Calendar

This will be primarily a word calendar for August. As she says new words, they'll be posted here. She currently repeats a lot of words, but she only remembers the ones that are interesting to her. She also understands a bunch of words she never tries to say, such as "fan", "later", "diaper", "bath".

August is 14 months old right now. Her vocabulary consists of:

Dada -first word, when she was 7 months old, hasn't used it in months though
Hi - first word that she actually used in the right context
Momma - will "kiss Momma" on command, but she points at herself when she uses it
Bye
Nai nai - milk in Chinese
Lau hou - tiger in Chinese
More - she uses this to indicate "want"
Drink - prounounced as "dish"
Balloon
Peekaboo
Eat
Eat it - she uses this when she's feeling naughty and nowhere near food
Don't eat it
Nonono
Belly button - her longest word so far, she loves to poke everyone's belly button
Flower
Juice
Cheese
Peach
What's that?
Ow - usually pronounced "wow" and accompanied by a swipe
Walk - walk walk walk
Shoe
Baby - she gets mad if you call her a baby, but she'll call big kids "baby"
